Libong Beach Resort

Libong Beach Resort exceeds expectations. The combination of a prime location, comfortable accommodations, and excellent amenities make it a top choice for anyone looking to experience the beauty of this island paradise. Libong Beach Resort’s location is fantastic, just a 10-minute drive to Baan Prao pier, making it convenient for those arriving by boat. The free Wi-Fi in public areas add to the overall convenience. The accessibility of the resort to nearby islands is its USP. The 35-minute long-tail boat ride to Koh Mook and the 40-minute ride to Koh Kradan were incredible experiences. It made exploring the surrounding islands so much easier. The rooms are comfortable and well-equipped with air conditioning. One may take advantage of the relaxation options at the resort. The open beach in front is a peaceful place to take a leisurely stroll. The tour desk was incredibly helpful in organizing travel arrangements, and the availability of a shuttle service made exploring the area hassle-free. A wonderful place to unwind!

The location is nothing but fantastic. It offers a great view of the sunset. There's is a lot of trash on the beach though. The food is delicious and the staff is friendly. The room we got was really worn down. The bed was horrible. Hard as a rock. The sink didn't work, nor did the shower. The door couldn't be locked from the inside. And the lock itself was very rusty and not safe at all. Overall the room looked like it had not been maintained for years. What a shame.. The room was very basic. There was no fridge, no TV, no safety box. But lots of holes in the floor and walls for the mosquitos to enter. We paid 1500 for a family room and was charged an extra 600 for breakfast. For that price I believe there are plenty of other options.

Location is very good. Small village with eating options nearby. Management responsive but the rooms, including the beachfront bungalows, need a lot of maintenance. A/C in both rooms we stayed in was not working. Beds extremely hard. Wi-fi (good) in reception/dining area only. No variety at breakfast but the fish porridge very good (plus fried eggs, toast, instant coffee). Only Thai spoken.

This resort has been the first on Libong and now it shows its age and the lack of maintenance by the owner. The issue is that despite of the decreased quality, the prices are updated on the current season. 1500/1700 baht for the front line bungalows seems to be correct, but once you test the quality of the rooms you realize that it's overpriced. Ok, if you want absolutely have a room with a beautiful view, you could accept to pay for it, even though the comfort level is not adequate. At least these bungalows are working, not having serious issues. But 1100 baht for the second row rooms is an unacceptable speculation. The second row bungalows are old, broken, unmaintained, dirty and shabby. I got a bungalow with the aircon water dripping into the room. I asked for fixing it but the management gave me another bungalow just beside. But in that room the aircon didn't have the remote control: impossible to adjust fan and temperature. I refuse it. They show me a third bungalow, but the aircon was broken, only fan. I refuse it again. The fourth one was "good" 😆, but all the adjectives I wrote up were concentrated into that fourth bungalow. During the night the rotten bathroom doorknob broke in my hand, causing me a deep cut on my finger. I took some pictures in order to prove what I'm saying. These bungalows should be rented for 500 baht, maximum. Obviously the morning after I quitted the Libong Beach Resort and frankly I wouldn't never come back.

We really enjoyed our stay in the beachfront bungalow with a/c. I found the accommodation price okay (1.500 b per night, hot water provided, electricity 24/7). The only critique is the low water pressure. The restaurant prices are just fine. The food was delicious. You can book private transfers, but also speed boat tickets at the reception. Massages were excellent.
